SHOW CONTROL by Keith Snyder (Write Way Publishing, 1995)

I heard about this first book by Keith Snyder in Bookaccino and I am glad that I did. This mystery deals with show business, computers, and friendship. Jason Keltner, a musician in the midst of a divorce, talks to performance artist Monica Gleason just before she's killed. He sets out to find the murderer; in his quest, he also finds the meaning of friendship. He and two of his best friends (along with a stranger from online) follow advice from The Art of War and harass their enemy, though it might not have been such a wonderful idea. The action in the book is just enough, since the friends do not want to resort to violence... they know their limitations! The star of the book is humor. The friends have wonderfully endearing warped senses of humor. This was a quick read, but I'm glad I saved it for summer vacation because I stayed up late to finish it. Hurry up and finish the second one, Keith; I'm ready for it now!
