Heidi Smith's kindergarten class
Once upon a time, there was a little boy and a little bunny. The little boy lived in a house and the little bunny lived in the ground. The decided to go fishing. They went to the lake and the little boy ate a sandwich, and the little bunny ate a carrot. But then the fox came! And he chased the little bunny! But the little boy chased the fox and caught him and threw him in the lake. The fox swam and swam until he reached the ground, and he ran away. The little boy and the little bunny made camp and then they caught a shark.

Mrs. Skin's kindergarten class
Once upon a time, there was a penguin and a cow. The penguin lived in a house, and the cow lived in a barn. The decided to play out, and their favorite game was Hide-And-Go-Seek. The penguin hid first, and he hid under the water. The cow looked in the house but the penguin wasn't there. Then the cow looked in the water, but didn't see the penguin, because the penguin jumped out of the water and went behind the cow and pushed her in! Then the cow turned around and saw the penguin and came out of the water. Then they both went to play Tank.

1st graders
Once upon a time, there was a little girl and her friend Matthew. The little girl lived in New York. They decided to play Hide-And-Go-Seek. Then they played hopscotch. The little girl won. Then they rode bikes to the bookstore and read a Barbie book. Then they rode scooters to gym and colored on the bench. They wrote a story about a dinosaur named Freckle the Spike Tail. Freckle liked to fetch meat. Then she would eat it. Freckle had a friend who was a dog named Janeesa. They liked to eat animals. They tried to eat a jaguar, but they choked on a bone, so Freckle jumped on Janeesa and the bone came out. So then they ate fish.

2nd-graders
Once upon a time, there was a rabbit whose friend was an ant. They lived under a mushroom on the mountain. One day, they decided to go under the mushroom because it was raining. Their friends were a bird and a mouse. They don't do well in the rain.
They decided to play tag, but then the fox came looking for the rabbit, so they hid the rabbit under the ground. But the fox smelled him. The rain stopped and the mushroom grew bigger. The fox was digging, and the rabbit went by the ant, and they hid the rabbit again. But the rabbit and the mouse couldn't fit under the mushroom, so the rabbit went on top of the mushroom and didn't know where the fox was.
The fox came closer, under the mushroom, and the rabbit jumped down and saw the fox, and then ran back to the mushroom. The ant, the mouse, and the bird joined the rabbit, and the bird grabbed the rabbit and flew to the other side of the mountain.
But the fox found it and ate it.

3rd-graders
Once upon a time, there was a dinosaur named Woody who had a dinosaur friend named Buzz. One day, they decided to go on an adventure to look around the land and find food. So they went to the woods and saw a wolf. So they ate it. There were two potato heads. Woody and Buzz met Rex the dinosaur. They went swimming in Atlanta, Georgia, and all the people started running to the river and diving in. The girl who makes eggs came, and the babies hatched, and they became friends.

PARTY TIME
by the 4th graders
Once upon a time, there was a wolf chasing a deer. The deer went into the jungle. The wolf kept chasing the deer. They bumped into a tiger. The tiger scratched the wolf, and the wolf went to his den in the mountains.
Then the tiger chased the deer to the deer's family, and the deer stampeded on the tiger. The tiger was still alive, but he had no one to chase.
The deer bumped into a grizzly bear. The tiger's family came and the deer hid their faces. The grizzly bear attacked the deer and ate them in pieces. Then the wolf came back with his pack. They all ambushed each other and they all fell down.
The wolves, the deer, and the tigers all turned partners and they charged after the grizzly bear. The grizzly bear went to his cave in the mountains to get more grizzly bears. The grizzly bears came back. The tigers, wolves, and deer got scared and ran to their homes. Then they felt sorry and went to the grizzly bears and said "sorry," and they all turned friends, and they had a big party and ate the deer.

THE BEAR HUNT
by the 5th graders
Once upon a time, there was a man in a cabin. He had a dog named Keith and a wife. One day they decided to go fishing at the lake. They saw fish. The man and wife ate a sandwich and the dog ate puppy chow. A polar bear came. The polar bear scared them, and they started running to their cabin. The polar bear ate the sandwiches and the puppy chow. The man tripped and the polar bear started running toward him. His wife helped him up. The dog tried to tease the polar bear so it would distract him from chasing the guy.
The polar bear had two cubs in its cave. The polar bear brought pizza sandwiches to its cubs. Then it went to the ocean and brought salmon.
The next day, the man went to look for the polar bear in its cave with his gun. The dog was with him. He shot the polar bear but didn't kill it. It got mad and chased him. The polar bear caught the dog, but the dog bit the bear and ran away. The man was calling for help, and his wife heard him. She went to him in a boat. They talked to each other in VHF and he told her where he was. She shot the polar bear and killed it.
The two cubs ran to their mother, and the man and wife shot the two cubs because they would die by themselves. They started calling the dog and the dog came, and they started walking to the cabin. They saw blood on the dog, and the lady washed his cut.
Then the man went swimming.

THE OUTSIDERS
by the 6th graders
Once upon a time, there was a girl named Miranda and her friend Lee. They lived in an igloo in Africa. They decided to go camping, and they saw a lizard. The lizard was green, and its name was Clyde. Miranda cried because Clyde bit her, but Lee stabbed it with an arrow and they ate it with Africa food.
They went to Alaska on dog mush and also riding caribou. They met Grandpan in an old hut.
Grandpa said, "Long time no see, son."
Lee said, "Hi, Grandpa."
Grandpa said, "Ellen will go to Miranda and Lee's wedding."
Ellen brought a tiger skin as a present.
Lee's dad said, "You can't get married to Miranda. You're too old."
Lee said, "I want to get married."
Miranda said, "I want to, too." Miranda was pregnant.
Lee said, "She's pregnant and I love her."
Nine months later, they had little PeeWee.
PeeWee saw Clyde's ghost, and they became brothers. PeeWee got older and went hunting for food with Clyde's ghost. They speared a bear and shot it with a twelve-gauge. The bear hit PeeWee and he almost died. The bear ran away.
Miranda said she was pregnant again with septuplets: LaVette, LaWanda, Billy, Mindack, Philip, Spanky, and Spamula.

A PROBLEM AT THE BEACH
by the 6/7-graders
Once upon a time, there was a boy named Lewis. Lewis had a friend named Leo. They lived in New York. They decided to go swimming, so they went to the beach. Leo started drowning. The lifeguard saved him. Lewis was still swimming. The lifeguard took Leo to the hospital. Lewis was still swimming. They did CPR on Leo. Leo's mom came to the hospital. Lewis was looking for Leo, but he found a shell instead. He could hear the ocean in it. He threw it at the beach but it hit the lifeguard. The lifeguard got knocked down and Lewis ran home.
Leo got a shot, and he was sleeping. In his dream, he asked for Lewis. He saw Lewis bitten by a shark and then Lewis waterskipping with a snow-go. Then Leo woke up and saw his mom.
His mom said, "What are you doing here in the hospital?"
Leo said, "I was drowning while me and Lewis were swimming." A couple minutes later, he started coughing water. His mom fainted. Nurse Angela came in the door and patted his back so he could breathe, and gave him an oxygen mask. After that, Leo asked, "Where is Lewis?"
Lewis was in the lobby. Tears were running down his cheeks. The nurse gave medicine to Leo.
Leo's mom woke up in a bed in another oom. She asked where Leo was. The doctor said he was gone.
Leo and Lewis hugged each other and cried. Lewis asked, "Where were you?"
Leo said, "In the hospital."
Lewis said, "Why were you in the hospital?"
"Because I drowned."
Leo's mom panicked and started to look for him. She called the police. Nurse Angela calmed her down. The police came and saw Leo in the lobby. They arrested Leo for running away from the hospital. His mother went to bail him out, and Leo ran away so his mom wouldn't ground him, because he didn't ask to go to the beach.

ALASKA BEARS
by the 8th-graders
Once upon a time, there was a brown bear named Winnie-the-Pooh. He lived in Selawik, Alaska. He had two friends, a polar bear named Tiger and a black bear with no name. They were friends because they were all bears. Tiger the polar bear liked it in Selawik, but Winnie and Whatsisface didn't. They got in a fight over whether to stay in Selawik or move to Noorvik.
The brown bear killed the black bear. Now Tiger and Winnie-the-Pooh were enemies. They made tricks on each other. Winnie stole food from Tiger. Then Tiger brought Winnie to thin ice. Tiger fell through, but he came back up and made a trick on Winnie. Winnie fed Tiger old poison fish. Tiger got sick for a couple of days and got sent to the vet. Winnie-the-Pooh was very worried. The vet gave Tiger shots. The next morning, Pooh brought cupcakes and a get-well-soon card. And they were friends again.

UNDERCOVER THIEF
by the 7th-graders
Once upon a time, there was a thief. He decided to rob the National Bank of Alaska. He pointed a gun at the bankers and said, "Gimme all your money or there's gonna be trouble." He shot the cameras so he wouldn't get busted.
The cops came. The robber ran away. He ran out of bullets and took out a grenade. He threw the grenade at the cops. The cops jumped into a pool, and the robber took off with their Bravo, hid the money in a tree, and went to his wedding. Then he and his wife took off in their just-married car to their warehouse. They found three kids on 69th street and took them hostage. Then they adopted them. The robbers found a gun store and bought guns. Then they shot the customers at the gun store and got their money back.
They were wanted for two million dollars. They made a call to the president.
The president said, "Hello, this is George W. Bush."
The robbers said, "If you want to see your daughter back, give me all your money."
George W. Bush said, "I'm broke."
"Well, you're not going to see your daughter again."
George W. Bush said he had another daughter.
The robbers said, "I hope you paid for this call," and hung up.
The robber went to get his money from the tree, but a moose ate it and got a stomachache. The robber looked for the moose and shot it.
"Darn you, moose!" Blam, blam!
The robber went to the church and confessed he killed Bambi. He went home and started crying.
They used the money from the gun store and bought a boat. They went to Hawaii and lived happily ever after.
